Cherri's Bio

I grew up in a rural area on the outskirts of a small town in Louisiana and moved to Houston, Texas in the fifth grade. Books became my passion and by the seventh grade I knew I wanted to become a writer.

Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana, is where I attended college and from there traveled throughout Scotland, London, Germany, and France, returning to Houston to make this great city my home.

My hobbies include reading, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and animals, especially our dogs. So, naturally for me, the progression and taking the steps to become a writer was almost second nature.

Animals play a huge part of our lives as four German shepherds and one Great Pyrenees-Golden mix resides with us in our home. Two of our German shepherds were active Search and Rescue Dogs, one is a retired police officer, and the other two are supervisors for keeping the rest of us in line.

I feel that growing up in the country, as a child with humble beginnings, and also living in a large city where my dreams have been able to mature, that this life has blessed me with the best of both worlds. And both of these worlds I fully embrace.

Cherri resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and their five dogs.
